Water Quality And Lumber Importers

Water, water everywhere… or is it? As societies have spread across the globe, we’ve used natural resources like water to help us create our modern civilizations. But what does this have to do with lumber importers? More than you may know.

By cutting down trees and harvesting lumber, the wood industry has a huge effect on our water supply and can contribute to pollution and shortages if precautions aren’t taken.

At USply, we see ourselves as global citizens. We know that we have a responsibility to make sure we acquire our lumber in responsible ways and to work with lumber importers who share our vision.

By doing this, we can protect the environment and create a brighter future for the next generation. To help accomplish this goal, we’ve partnered with the National Arbor Day Foundation.

Founded in 1972, the National Arbor Day Foundation is the largest non-profit conservation and education organization dedicated to planting trees, with more than a million members, supporters, and partners. Their mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. At USply, we stand with the National Arbor Day Foundation and are committed to giving a portion of every sale we make to support their efforts, including projects designed to help maintain or improve our natural sources of water. Some of these projects include:

  • Mississippi Alluvial Valley Project

This project focuses on reforestation along the Mississippi River. By replacing these trees, they will help filter water, reduce contaminants flowing into the river, and help stop erosion.

  • Reforestation

By helping to restore natural forested watershed, we can increase the amount of clean drinking water for cities across the country.

  • Tree City USA

This project is committed to helping to ensure clean water for residents through community planting and caring for trees.

  • Community Tree Recovery

With a focus on replanting community tree canopies after natural disasters, this project helps to re-establish protection from storm water runoff issues and provides a source for natural water filtration.

At USply, we’re more than lumber distributors, and as leaders in the lumber industry, we have a responsibility to protect our environment.

By working with the National Arbor Day Foundation and responsible lumber importers, we can lessen the negative affects that we have on our natural world. And through this partnership, we can help plant more trees, improve our water, and make the world a better place.
